I won!!

It is official! I am the 2009 Ms. Eldora Speedway! A big thanks to everyone who supported me! The next year is going to be so exciting and fun! I cannot wait! I am looking forward to meeting all the Eldora fans!!

Its time for Eldora!!!

Leaving for Eldora tomorrow night!! I cannot wait for the Prelude!! It is going to be a good time with my girl Vanessa! Then the pageant on Thursday evening! The Dream on Saturday! I hope to meet some of the people who have checked out my blog! Thank you everyone for your support!

Only a few days left!

Great racing at Pevely last night!! King Kong really walked away with it! Frank Heckenest jr. did very well and won his heat race, congrats to him on that! Feger was the hard charger of the night! It took him a while to get going and get past lap traffic but he moved from 19th to 5th! If there were a few more laps I am sure he would have moved up more. The Dream is less than a week away and I know its going to be a great race! Feger is definitely a top contender this year! 4 days until the pageant! Its getting down to crunch time! I got interviewed last night for DirtCast and it was so cool! It was great practice for answering questions. I want to thank Brett who did the interview. I would also like to thank the Izzo's of Lasalle Speedway for interviewing me at intermission and letting me be trophy girl on Thursday night for the Monster Midwest race. There is some great racing coming up in the next couple weeks and I can't wait! I am looking forward to the Dream and meeting all the people that have been supportive of me doing this pageant! Thanks again everyone!

Big wins this past weekend!

Congrats to Feger and Shepp for big wins this weekend! I will only be able to go to Lasalle on Saturday for the Lucas Oil race because of lovely work. Still waiting to hear back from Eldora if I am a contestant or not. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Just got home last night and I am ready to go racing! Farmer City tonight if the rain holds off and then who knows for the rest of the weekend.

Jamaica....

This weekend is going to be some of the best racing around(except Eldora) and I am going to miss it. My sister is getting married in Jamaica and I will be gone from Friday until Thursday of next week, which means no going to Paducah or Shepp's Speedway. The races in Paducah are going to be televised which means a very good turn out. My mom couldn't believe it when I said I didn't want to go to Jamaica because I was missing races. She just doesn't understand...lol Only 35 days until the Ms. Eldora Speedway Pageant! It seems so far away but it is rapidly approaching. Still waiting to hear if I am one of the lucky 25 contestants chosen. I will keep posting while I am out of the states, but someone is going to have to let me know what is going on at the racetracks!

The sweet smell of victory!!

First off, congratulations to Steve Sheppard Jr. on his win at Lincoln Speedway on Sunday night. Stevie seemed to be having a ton of bad luck this year and this victory definitely broke that streak. Him and Jason Feger put on one heck of a show! Running the high side was the way to go for both of them. Saturday night was very exciting at Kamp Motor Speedway!! It was my first time there and it was a memorable one. My fav guy Jason Feger won and I was there to celebrate it with him and his crew! I even got to jump into the victory lane photo! It was very exciting! I met Mrs. Kamp on Saturday night and she was so nice! Her and Mr. Kamp do a wonderful job with that speedway! The race on Saturday night was amazing! Feger started 15th and moved up to 8th by the 3rd lap in. He then moved his way past Unzicker and Hendrick, scooting past Heckenast Jr and finally Smith for first. All of those guys ran awesome Saturday night. It was a heck of a show all those guys put on for the fans at Kamp Motor Speedway. Still waiting to hear back from Eldora about the status of my application! I should find out soon! I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Lets go racin!

The weekend is approaching quickly which means racing!! Kankakee on Friday, Kamp on Saturday, and Lincoln on Sunday! Going with the Feger's this weekend and I am very excited! It should be a good weekend of racing for those guys. I know the car is up and running from the wreck last weekend and the boys are anxious to go racing. I will probably be working in the Feger-Shepp tshirt trailer most of the time so come visit me and keep me posted on whats happening on the track! Hope to see some familiar faces this weekend!

Busy, Busy!!

Its been crazy busy around here the last few days. I am getting ready to turn in my application for the Ms. Eldora pageant and still trying to get all these pictures together. School has been crazy busy too! End of the semester is approaching soon and that means summer!!!!!! A summer full of racing!! I forgot to say congrats to Jeep Vanwormer on his big win at Eldora this past weekend! I heard the race was amazing! Jeep is a very nice guy who is always friendly to fans. I also heard he signed the trophy and gave it to a little kid. Very cool! Looking forward to a full weekend of racing in Kankakee on Friday, Kamp on Saturday and Lincoln on Sunday. Rain, rain, go away!

I am so bummed about all of the rain this weekend! Luckily the rain held off yesterday afternoon so we could get the photoshoot done for Feger Race Apparel and also did some promotional pics for me too! Feger's crash on friday looked worse than it really was, just a broken rear end tube and a bent up front bumper. Thank goodness he is okay though! Saturday race at Kamp was a little crazy I heard. Erb pulled off early, dont know why though. Congrats to Frankie jr on his first win in a long time. I'm looking forward to this weekend at Kankakee on Friday, Kamp on Saturday, and Lincoln Sunday! Full show this weekend!!! I have to work on Friday night so wont be at Kankakee but will definetly be at Kamp on Saturday with the Feger's. Come look me up in the t-shirt trailer! We are going to hang some of the pictures we took yesterday. They are very cute pics! I will post them on here soon! Im working on making this site a little more fun and more my own so bare with me as its under construction. Well off to do some more Ms. Eldora stuff! Make sure if your at Dream Week this year on Thursday night that you come out to the Ballroom to cheer me on!

Gotta love the Fegers!

I am bummed that I can't go to Granite City or the Quad Cities this weekend but I have to work to make that money! I was at Feger's shop yesterday and they were putting the freshened motor back into the car for this weekend so best of luck to those guys this weekend at the big races! I am hopefully going to make it to Kamp on Saturday night so hope to see everyone there!

First Post on Abby's Dirt Heaven!!

Hi everyone! This is the first post of many to come! I created this blog because I love dirt racing and want to share with everyone my thoughts and views about it. I love everything that has to do with racing and I cant get enough of it! I am currently getting ready to compete in the Ms. Eldora Speedway Pageant and could use all the support I can get!
